The gift of music has been alive and well in our branch this past year. Those of you who attended the Young Pianists’ Winners’ Recital on Saturday, April 20th, can testify to this fact. This is one of our favorite events of the year, featuring students of our own branch, and what a concert it was. Hopefully more teachers will make plans to attend this beautiful event next year.
This is the time of year when we choose officers for the next year at the year-end potluck meeting. Attached to the newsletter you will find a ballot that the Directors of the Board have put together. Please take the time to fill out your ballot and mail or email it to Anette Guldhammer (email@example.com). And speaking of the year-end potluck meeting, the venue has been changed. We will meet at the home of Angela Rosser. Please bring a dish to share with your colleagues and let’s end this year together.
I hope many of you are planning on attending Convention. It is a highlight of the year and a great time to get away from it all to refresh and renew the teaching spirit with new ideas. This year Convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara on June 28 to July 2.
Don’t forget that May 1st is the date where the system will open for online renewals for MTAC membership. Remember that membership dues must be received by July 31st in order to participate in Certificate of Merit. You can find more information on that in the MTAC newsletter online.
May the beautiful gift of music continue to inspire us all as we share it with our students.
